Founded on Sawtelle in 1993 by Nobi Kusuhara, our restaurant was among the first in Los Angeles to introduce the true omakase experience. Long before it became popular, we focused on tradition, simplicity, and craftsmanship.

No special rolls, no trend!

We prepare our sushi with warm, home-temperature rice - the way it is meant to be served. Unlike many places that use cold or older rice, we believe properly warmed rice enhances the flavor, texture, and overall balance of each piece. It is a detail that sets us apart and reflects our commitment to authenticity.

In 2019, ownership was taken over by Hiroki Totsuka, who continues the same traditional philosophy and dedication to quality established in 1993. Our mission remains the same: to serve honest, classic sushi with respect for the craft.
